Road Rage and How to Avoid it
Road rage can be defined by, “violent anger caused by the stress and frustration involved in driving a motor vehicle in difficult conditions.”
In order to avoid road rage:
- Avoid aggressive gestures
- Stay calm and breathe
- Do your best to keep a healthy distance between you and other drivers on the road
- Do not compete in driving
- Do your best not to take other’s actions personally
- Be polite. You cant control others on the road or traffic but you can control your reactions to it
If you are confronted with an aggressive driver the best advice is to not engage back.
- Do not react
- Lock your doors
- Keep a distance between you and that driver allowing yourself to pull out if necessary
- Avoid eye contact
- Contact help if necessary
