James Williamson

Attorney/Founder WWFG

1937 - 2009

James T. Williams died on February 11, 2009.  Jim was a brilliant man and attorney.  He graduated law school from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.  In 1972, he founded what is now the law firm of Williamson, Webster, Falb and Glisson of Alton IL. During that time, he represented injured railroad workers and barge workers up and down the Mississippi river.  Prior to that time he practiced law for many years in St. Louis, Madison, and St. Clair Counties. He was an active member of the Alton-Wood River and Madison County Bar Associations. As a youth, he and his brother sold newspapers at the corner of Lindell and Kingshighway.  He would hunt foxes on horseback.  He was an avid patron of opera and the arts, and a fan of the Irish Tenors.  He also enjoyed scotch on the rocks while listening to opera.
