Tom was an elite trial attorney and respected by all peers. He attended the University of Illinois and majored in Economics, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in 1971. While at the University of Illinois, Tom received the following honors: Phi Eta Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa. He then attended the University of Illinois Law School, graduating in 1974. Tom began his legal career as a Prosecutor for the Madison County State Attorney’s Office from 1974-1976. He then was an associate and eventual partner in the law firm of Reed, Armstrong, Gorman and Coffey in Edwardsville, Illinois from 1976-1986. Thereafter, Tom became a partner for over 30 years at Williamson, Webster, Falb & Glisson until he passed away in 2018. He has been a member of the Illinois, Missouri, and Florida bars. He was elected to the “American Board of Trial Advocates” as “Advocate”. Tom was heavily involved in the Chesterfield Community Church and his hobbies included sailing and flying.
