Lake St. Louis, Missouri Man Arrested for Child Molestation
A resident of Lake St. Louis, Missouri has been arrested and taken to St. Charles County Jail for sexually abusing two children.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the 45-year-old perpetrator had repeatedly molested two girls under age 12 for years. Another article by KMOV St. Louis states that the man was arrested on Dec. 15, and that criminal investigators are charging him with 10 counts of sexual abuse. Police do not believe that the perpetrator molested any other children.
According a report published in 2009 by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, 5,226 children from Missouri were victims of child abuse in 2009. 1,492 — or 28.5 percent — of those children were victims of sexual abuse.
