    Thomas O. Falb is a partner of Williamson, Webster, Falb & Glisson. Mr. Falb has practiced in all areas of personal injury as well as death, nursing home, malpractice, employment and civil rights cases.

    Mr. Falb has practiced for 35 years primarily in Illinois and Missouri, but has actually litigated cases as far south as Florida, Arkansas and Mississippi.

    Some examples of his successful cases are as follows:

    • Hoggatt v. Taylor, M.D. – a medical malpractice wrongful death tried in Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois involving the death of a patient from an aortic dissection. This resulted in one of the largest verdicts in Madison County for medical malpractice in the year 1986.
    • Cripes v. Hall Trucking – resulting in the largest verdict in Vandalia, Fayette County, Illinois in the late 1990s of over One Million Dollars for wrongful death of an automobile driver in a truck collision.
    • Row v. Hussman Manufacturing – a 1.5 Million Dollars verdict in U.S. District Court in St. Louis, Missouri for a sexual harassment employment claim.
    • Basham v. Lifestar Ambulance – a verdict of 2.35 Million Dollars against an ambulance company for the wrongful death of a automobile driver killed by an ambulance in Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois.

    Besides the above representative cases, Mr. Falb has litigated over 1,000 other cases. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in 1971 with academic honors including Phi Kappa Phi. He went on to receive his law degree from the University of Illinois.

    Before graduating law school, he clerked for the Attorney General’s Office in Chicago, Illinois in the Anti-Trust Division, the Felony Division of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Illinois and actually tried criminal cases while a third-year law student at the University of Illinois in Champaign county, Illinois.

    Following receiving his law degree, Mr. Falb was a prosecutor in the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office from 1974 to 1976 prosecuting only felonies – at one time winning seventeen felony jury verdicts in a row. The verdicts involved major felonies from homicides to strong-arm robberies to drug cases.

    From the prosecutor’s office, Mr. Falb went into private practice joining the law firm of Reed, Armstrong, Gorman and Coffey of Edwardsville, Illinois and became a partner there where they represented major insurance companies, manufacturers and doctors in civil defense matters.

    In 1986, Mr. Falb joined the present law firm of Williamson, Webster, Falb & Glisson where he has been involved representing individuals in litigation throughout Illinois and Missouri.

    In addition, Mr. Falb has taught at St. Louis University Law School and has been a member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Legal Organization for trial attorneys. He currently is a member of Illinois State Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, Alton/Wood River Bar Association, St. Louis Bar Association and in the past has been a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and is currently a member of the Christina Legal Society.
